HAND GROOVER FAQ's
What is Hand Groover?

A hand groover is a tool that is used to create grooves in wet concrete. It is a flat or curved metal blade that has a handle on one end and a cutting edge on the other. The cutting edge can have different shapes and sizes depending on the type of groove desired. Hand groovers are used to control cracking and improve the appearance of concrete surfaces. They are also used to create decorative patterns or textures on concrete floors, walls, or countertops.

What are the different types of Hand Groover?

types are:

  • Straight arrow hand groover: A hand groover that has a straight blade with a pointed tip. It is used to create straight and narrow grooves in concrete.
  • Western hand groover: A hand groover that has a curved blade with a rounded tip. It is used to create curved and wide grooves in concrete.
  • Rocker hand groover: A hand groover that has a curved blade with a rocker shape. It is used to create smooth and rounded grooves in concrete.
  • Ultra-hard hand groover: A hand groover that has a flat blade made of ultra-hard material. It is used to create sharp and precise grooves in hard concrete.
How to use Hand Groover?

  • Choose a hand groover that matches the type and size of the groove you want to create. For example, a straight arrow hand groover for a straight groove, a western hand groover for a curved groove, etc.
  • Mark the location and direction of the groove on the wet concrete surface using a chalk line or a straight edge.
  • Hold the hand groover firmly and place the cutting edge on the marked line. Make sure the blade is perpendicular to the surface and aligned with the direction of the groove.
  • Push or pull the hand groover along the line, applying even pressure and keeping the blade at a consistent depth. You may need to make several passes to achieve the desired depth and width of the groove.
  • Clean the hand groover with water and a brush after each use to prevent concrete buildup.
