A Chipless Key Shell is a type of transponder key shell that does not have a chip inside. It is used to replace a broken or damaged key shell without changing the chip. A Chipless Key Shell can be cut to fit a specific lock and then inserted into an existing key with a chip. This way, the key can still be recognized by the car’s immobilizer system. A Chipless Key Shell can also be used for testing purposes or as a backup key.
