What are the Replacement Blades?

Replacement blades are blades that can be used to replace the worn-out or damaged blades of various cutting tools, such as utility knives, pocketknives, safety knives, snap-off knives, and specialty knives1. They come in different shapes, sizes, and materials depending on the type and purpose of the cutting tool.

What are the different sizes of Replacement Blades?

Replacement blades for breakaway knives come in different sizes and numbers of points. For example, you can find 13-point breakaway blades or 8-point breakaway blades. You can also find scoreless blades that are longer and have no score lines.

How to use Utility Knives?

  • For a lawn mower blade, you need to purchase a replacement blade that matches the size and shape of your mower. You also need to drain the gas tank, disconnect the spark plug wire, and tilt the mower on its side. Then you need to use a wrench to loosen and remove the nut that holds the blade in place. You can then install the new blade in the appropriate direction and tighten the nut. You should also check the blade for play and refill the gas tank before mowing.
  • For a retractable utility knife, you need to press and hold the blade change button on the side of the knife and pull out the old blade. Then you need to insert a new blade into the slot and release the button. You should hear a click when the blade is locked in place. You can then retract the slider for safe storage.
  • For a wiper blade, you need to lift up the wiper arm and pivot the blade so that it is perpendicular to the arm. Then you need to press the release tab on the connector and slide the blade off the hook. You can then attach a new blade by sliding it onto the hook until it clicks. You should also pivot the blade back against the arm and lower it to the windshield.
  • For a trimmer head with poly-cut blades, you need to remove the worn blades by unscrewing the bolts that hold them in place. Then you need to add grease around the bolts and insert the replacement blades into the head. You should tighten the bolts to secure the blades and check that they can move without any resistance.
